A while back in Mom's post about painting her bedoom I mentioned that we were doing the same thing. It's taken quite a bit of time because there was no spackling on any of the joints or corners and all the walls had to be primed with two coats to cover up the existing pattern. Sara and I put the first coat of paint on yesterday afternoon. The color is called "Almond Oil."
This family blog continues the one originally started by Luke. It is hoped through the sharing of stories, ponderisms, and pictures of family and events, that this online journal will serve to enhance and nurture our relationship and draw us closer to God and each other as we travel along life's road. Buckle-up!

Looks great, Luke! Jenni and a friend of ours painted the new baby's room yesterday while I was at work! I told Jenni I didn't care what color as long as I didn't have to help. :) It came out very nice.
I like your bed very much. Jenni and I have a similar design except it is not rounded across the top and it is natural wood (unpainted).
The picture showing the old wall pattern looks like a different room. Actually it doesn't look so bad. Certianly not hideous as you claim. Your bedroom came out very nice. Not having that pattern on the walls is probably more comfortable on the eyes.
Thanks Justin.
Pop, that is a different room. I should have photographed the bedroom before I started but I didn't think of it. I put a second coat on the walls tonight and the first coat of semi-gloss white on the trim.
