Back to work on this old project...

Been working on my truck again lately. There were a lot of small things wrong with it and a lot of wiring and such that I had jerry-rigged a long time ago that needed to be straightened out. I completely stripped the interior. That old carpet was so nasty. I'm hoping to get a friend to weld some new floor pans and plan to convert it back to the original style bench seat. And I also re-wired the rear lights. I don't think the lights ever worked right on this truck. I found a place online that had the original schematics and that made it so easy. Other than that, there were a few other things that weren't right, like there were some bolts missing in the undercarriage, and the brakes needed to be bled. It still needs some head and manifold work to run, and it will need a new exhaust, but it's getting there.

Cool to see that again. I think you forgot to mention the crushed in door thanks to me.

You know, I was just thinking about that the other day. I don't think it was much more than a deep scratch. I fixed it a long time ago...

I still remember going with you Luke, to look at it before you bought that truck. So glad to know you're still keeping it "alive". We're so looking forward to your visit this week-end.

Hey! When did the stepside turn into a fleetside? I don't think I have ever seen it like that. The truck is a '63, right? What year is the bed. It matches perfectly.

I don't know what happened to the stepside bed. I took it off and abandoned it at dove hill rd and I think Pop probably took it to the landfill. I bought a parts truck, a 66, about three years ago and salvaged the grille and bed for my truck and sold the rest. All the body panels match from 1961 to 1966. I have some more pictures of the truck posted online at the ford truck enthusiasts website here: http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?albumid=29482
