We have pretty much determined that the type 1 diabetes is on the Harding side. Both of cousin Cindy's children have been diagnosed with it and are now on daily insulin. They would die without it! Her son was diagnosed at 5 yrs. and her daughter is Amys age and was just diagnosed last year!
I didnt't really understand the article to well but are they thinking they can prevent it in predisposed people or are they hoping also to find a way to reverse it in people who are already Type 1?
they are hoping to be able make people who are predisposed to it to not become type 1. That is just this one particular study though.Hopefully they will soon be able to find a cure for those of us who already are.

Diabetes is serious. I have a friend who just had a stroke because of undiagnosed diabetes. I may have it myself. I think I have hypoglycemia though.
