This was in Spring of 2008. The bird was very tired from trying to get out of the garage for who knows how long. I though it would be best to keep her inside and let her go in the evening,when it was cooler. So, after we all took turns holding her I shut it in the bathroom but I never expected it to come under the door. Dawn and I spent hours looking for it,and I even partialy disassembled the vanity thinking it had gone underneath it. I ended up finding it the next day under our dresser,but it was too late. Knowing the kids would be heartbroken, I told them I had found it and let it go. I just didn't mention that it was dead when I let it go. :(

I remember hearing about this hummingbird from the kids. Very neat that you got this little movie to remember it . Belle will always have a special place in her heart for hummingbirds because of this experience. Thanks for posting it!
