Could not for the life of me remember this robot's name. Searched the internet and found pictures of it in several other places, but no one seemed to know the name of it until I found this http://www.etsy.com/listing/64791196/80s-robot-toy-called-magic-mike-ii
Magic Mike ! Not a very roboty sounding sort of name.
I remember that robot well. I can still remember asking Mom and Pop for a robot that Christmss. It seems as though I was much older though.
BTW I made this cake yesterday and it is delicious! We have been eating it with peaches and cool whip! I hadn't made it in years! I did remember the Robot was Magic Mike; was this the robot that had smoke coming out of it?
the pic was taken January of 1985 so you were not even 4 1/2 years old!
Actually, just under 5 1/2. And yes...this is the one that blew smoke out his mouth if you put oil in his head. Seems like a fire hazard since there must have been some sort of heating element to burn the oil.
And I'm guessing the picture was taken at Christmas, but not developed until January. Dates on the photographs at that time would have been the developed date, correct?
Poor little Jacob it looks as though his tee shirt is a bit small! I remember those pajamas bottoms they probably were hand me downs from his big brothers!
