This family blog continues the one originally started by Luke. It is hoped through the sharing of stories, ponderisms, and pictures of family and events, that this online journal will serve to enhance and nurture our relationship and draw us closer to God and each other as we travel along life's road. Buckle-up!
I saw this picture days ago, but just hadn't commented on it. I found it interesting that Jacob posted it. I thought it seemed like something that Mom would have posted. Did you have this picture at your house, Jake?
I found it in a box of junk that I have had since I was probably 13 or 14. every once in a while me and Isaiah will rummage through it. I found this picture about a year ago and have been meaning to post it ever since. I can still remember you yelling to me as I came out the door, Justin (I had just woken up, I think) "Pop bought me a motorcycle!
That's really cool, Jake. I don't remember that. It would be really cool, but nearly impossible to compile all of our childhood memories. There is so much that we each remember that the others do not. I have a very poor long term memory and really do not remember very much from growing up. Very sad. I wish I remembered more.
It really seems like this day would be something that I would remember, but I do not at all. Of course I remember having the minibike. I have lots of memories of riding it, but I cannot remember the day that Pop brought it home. I do remember opening the box that the new frame came in and helping Pop put the bike all back together. My memory is very spotty. :)
I had forgotten about you breaking the frame and getting as new one until now. I do remember when you couldn't get it running and it seemed like you and Pop had it taken apart on that table downstairs forever. Remember Pop finally tried blowing through the gas shut off valve and that little blockage came out? All that time you guys had it apart and that was all it was.
I remember this day pretty clearly. I also remember crashing the minibike and breaking the frame and I remember Mom selling it at the yard sale for 50 dollars.
