This family blog continues the one originally started by Luke. It is hoped through the sharing of stories, ponderisms, and pictures of family and events, that this online journal will serve to enhance and nurture our relationship and draw us closer to God and each other as we travel along life's road. Buckle-up!
Wow! Your deck and shed/playhouse look incredible! I see you've got it running from the front door all the way to the end. Will there be a roof on any of it? Sure wish I could come over and help but it looks like you're getting along just fine. Did you need to get a building permit for any of it? Again, simply incredible!
Thanks Pop, wish you were here too. I had planned to put a roof on it, but now that I have the base built, I'm finding I really like just getting the sunshine here. The other deck always seemed so dark and the trees give a lot of shade anyway. I do need to figure out how to do the steps up to the door and maybe you have some ideas about that. I built the deck lower because I wanted it to be sort of transitional between the ground and the door because the door is so high off the ground. I was thinking about some wide steps like stacked rectangles that turn towards the driveway would look nice and kind of give the front a welcoming look.

I like the stereo. Seems this is a key piece to any outdoor project. :)
