This family blog continues the one originally started by Luke. It is hoped through the sharing of stories, ponderisms, and pictures of family and events, that this online journal will serve to enhance and nurture our relationship and draw us closer to God and each other as we travel along life's road. Buckle-up!
Jacob, looking good! Really makes that tub stand out. Did you get a chance to look at that website I mentioned in the comments on your last post? t said grout takes about a month to fully dry. And then theres a clear coating that is available that is applied over everything to protect and seal it. Are you going to do that too?
I just read your last post about the tile cutter. I bought the cheapest one too, but I think it worked okay for me because I also bought the cheapest tiles. Some of the heavier tiles it probably would not have worked with. Some of the tiles seemed to break wrong even though I was sure i was using the cutter perfectly, so I guess it's not a fool proof system. For small cuts, I found that if I scored them, and then held them over the edge of the counter and tapped them with the hammer, they would usually break just as reliably as using the cutter.
Yes, Pop I did visit the web site. I did almost but the sealer but I remembered it said to wait 30 days so I didn't. When I got home and read the directions for the grout I discoved that the particular kind I bought dosn't require a sealer. Still is good to know though. I also discovered that even though a tile cutter dosn't make perfect cuts, once the grout goes on it makes everything look much neater.
