I thought I'd post a picture of what I've been working on these past couple weeks I've been off from work. I go back Monday so it has to go...bummer. I'm hoping to change that soon though.

Jacob I think you should give Justin a call and fill him in on your plans!
Did you find out anything about the animal control officer job?

No, I never heard anything back. I'm not dissapointed though because after more thinking about it I don't think I want the job anyway.
I have been looking for some part time jobs though. I have some good prospects with a maintainance position with the town of Culpeper, also Schwans Frozen Foods (remember them?) is very interested in my application but I'm waiting to here if they can hire me on a part time schedule.
Dawn and I have talked it over alot and come up with a plan for creating income right here at home with the emphasis being on woodworking. I have my shop set up almost to where I need it and have several products in mind. The part time job would just ensure a regular flow of income until hopefully one day soon,if business is favorable,I wont need to work outside the home at all.
It might sound a little foolish ,but this is what we both really want as it will allow me to be home most of the time and it is something the whole family can become involved in. Just to be on the safe side I may wait to switch to a part time job until the business proves itself,so we dont get caught empty-handed so to speak. That will all depend on what the part-time employers I inquire with can offer me.
We will be sure to keep everyone posted on how things go.

Wow Jake. I admire your (and Dawn's) courage to take a step like that on faith. If you can make that work, I am sure you would never look back with any regrets. It would be so nice to be able to spend the days with your wife and children.
