Trienen farm (Lodi, WI)


We went pumpkin' pickin' today at a farm in Lodi (pronounced "low-die"). The title above is a link to the farm's website. I uploaded the pics to Facebook. Check them out here.

That looks like a really neat place. The corn maze looks amazing. I wonder how they do that.

They had a write-up at the farm about it. I thought it was cut that way, but it is actually planted in that pattern. The drawing is done first, of course, and then a grid is placed over the entire drawing so that each piece of the picture falls within a certain cell. Each intersection of lines on the grid is numbered, and then they place numbered flags in the field at the corresponding locations. Then they plant each cell as it should be. Pretty amazing.

Nope...not her. She had a purple outfit on. It was a fun few hours.
