My Crazy Evening

Okay, Justin, I'll share my latest klutz adventure...

It had been a long day. I was tired and stressed, and looking forward to nice soak in the tub and some time ALONE!. I fixed a cup of chamomile tea and went to start the water. The mop was in the tub, needing rinsing from its latest use. "Okay, I can do one more job", I thought. I washed it out and was carefully trying to transfer it to the sink without letting it drip in my tea when, CRASH, I hit the glass cover of the light with the handle. It shattered everywhere! So I had to fetch the broom and dustpan, and carefully sweep up each of the bits of broken glass. "Almost done" I thought, and reached up to carefully remove the piece of jagged glass that was still screwed onto the light fixture. Gingerly, I loosened one screw, then another, and was carefully trying to slide it off when, CRASH, it slipped out of my fingers and fell to the floor. "NOOOOO", I moaned. But then it all suddenly seemed so funny and I just had to laugh. Laughing till the tears came, I cleaned it up and quickly got into my bath before anything else happened!

Sara...that was classic. I was expecting to read that one of the kids started hollering for you. That surely would have been my bag. Actually, you reminded me of something else. In the midst of the craziness this morning, right before going out the door, Sophie shattered a glass cup on our stone tile entranceway. Of course we had to set everything down again. I swept and Jenni vacuumed.

Actually, Virginia did holler, "What are you laughing at?" :)
